Stellar observations Network Group (SONG) is a Danish led project where the aim is to construct a global network of small 1m telescopes around the world.

The main scientific goals of the project is:
  • To study the internal structure and evolution of nearby bright stars using Asteroseismology.

  • To search for and characterize exoplanets with masses comparable to the Earth in orbit around nearby stars.

I started as a software developer on the project back in 2010 which developed into a position as support astronomer and in the end lead developer and head of operations on the whole project.
